The
Confetti Pelino factory, set up in 1783, and now owned by Alfonso
and Olindo Pelino boasts an everlasting sugar-coated almonds production
in line with the ancient method recommended by the confectionery
tradition that is with neither starch nor wheat. Due to the purity
as well as the natural white of sugar, its taste and fragrance,
its tenderness making them a unique product, this company has
been awarded prices both at national and international level.
The sugar-coated almonds have earned an established reputation
and succeeded in conquesting world's markets thanks to its special
taste deriving from the purity of the sugar syrup, different flavours
and shapes. Next to the factory lies the Confectionery Art and
Technology Museum which has been recognized national monument
by Ministry decree in 1992.
