Arts and crafts represent the true force of Abruzzo.
Even though, in the last few decades, large firms have established themselves in the region and several small firms have reached industrial size, the network of small artisan firms is still rich and rock-solid in all sectors.

In every area of Abruzzo we can witness the manufacturing of typical, regional products which, thanks to a widespread network of small firms, have been able to capture the markets, finding their niches both at home and abroad.

Abruzzo offers a wide variety of handicrafts, according to the various geographical areas within: there is everything from the wrought-iron work of Guardiagrele to the pottery of Castelli and the delicate jewellery of Scanno. The most famous in the world, however, are the comfits of Sulmona, the torrone of L’Aquila, the parrozzo of Pescara and the gold jewels from the interior part of the region.

All in all we offer a world of shapes and flavours that have been handed down from one generation to another.

In recent years technology has made its entrance, even into the artisan workshops, but traditional methods are still jealously kept and handed down so that the quality of the products remains unchanged.
