The furniture industry in Abruzzo is a long-standing tradition made up of small artisan workshops which have been producing fine craftsmanship for centuries.

Today we are presented with a panorama rich in firms, established mostly in the province of Teramo and in the Pescara area.
Up until some years ago there was an essentially classic feel in the production line but nowadays these firms specialize also in modern and, from a technological point of view, highly advanced furniture.

Several firms specialize in the production of office furniture which is exported all over the world. Also remarkable is the large-scale production of doors and windows.

Small and middle firms are in abundance, competition is high resulting, therefore, in high quality products, creativity and a great deal of initiative.

In order to overcome the economic slump of recent years many firms have specialized in lines which are very much appreciated in the Middle East and South American markets.
On the whole, however, the quality of the raw materials together with the skilled workforce and operators has enabled them to achieve both national and international success, despite the crisis of the economic market.
